Our insurance group has represented major insurers in complex coverage disputes in Federal and State courts.

Holden Carr & Skeens lawyers have extensive experience in high-stakes litigation involving a vast array of insurance products, including general liability, first party property, professional liability, directors and officers, and reinsurance claims.

We also regularly provide counseling and advice to carriers regarding a broad spectrum of coverage and reinsurance disputes.

We have represented insurers in large, complex declaratory judgment actions and bad-faith litigation.

We work closely with insurers to develop goals and strategies on each case and to ensure that cases are staffed appropriately. Recognizing the continuing nature of the insured/insurer relationship and the disruption and expense of litigation, we endeavor to resolve disputes expeditiously in a manner beneficial to our clients. We make extensive use of mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), as well as creative settlement strategies. Where litigation is unavoidable, however, we vigorously and tenaciously pursue our client's interests, working as a team with claims professionals or in-house counsel to achieve a successful result.
